Since our inception in 1949, Wisco Industries has been committed to environmentally responsible business practices. Sustainability is not simply a program within our organization—it is a core value that influences how we operate every day. Through decades of continuous improvement, our efforts to recycle, reduce, reuse, and repurpose materials have become deeply embedded in our culture and a source of pride for our employees.

We recognize that responsible manufacturing requires careful stewardship of natural resources and a commitment to minimizing environmental impact. As a result, we continually evaluate our processes, facilities, and equipment to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable growth.

Our ongoing environmental initiatives include:

• Evaluating all by-products and manufactured goods for environmentally responsible disposal, minimal scrap generation, and material reclamation whenever possible.
• Continuously reviewing production processes to reduce waste and maximize the efficient use of raw materials.
• Assessing lighting systems and new equipment for energy efficiency prior to implementation. Automatic light sensors have been installed throughout our facilities to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
• Utilizing auto shutoff features on PCs and time clocks to conserve energy and reduce overall electricity usage.
• Processing approximately 99% of purchase orders and business documentation electronically, significantly reducing paper consumption and storage requirements.
• Reusing, recycling, or repurposing skids, pallets, packaging materials, and shipping supplies whenever possible to extend their useful life and minimize landfill waste.
• Recycling office waste, including paper, cardboard, cans, newspapers, magazines, plastics, copier paper, and ink cartridges.
• Working with suppliers and business partners who share our commitment to responsible environmental practices and sustainable resource management.
• Encouraging employees to identify and implement environmentally conscious improvements within their work areas and daily operations.
• Regularly evaluating opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint through energy-efficient technologies, waste reduction initiatives, process improvements, and responsible resource utilization.
